Children’s Creative Workshops -

December 30, 31 & Jan 1

The Travelling Tuataras generate interactive, creative fun and Tuia is thrilled to offer this three day workshop absolutely free. The children will create special works of art for our Marina Park Stage (see Whanau fun below). The art pieces will feature in the Children’s Riverbank procession at the Riversun River of Light on Jan 1st. For information and registration contact the HB Williams Memorial Library in Peel Street. Marina Park Whanau Fun -  December 31 & Jan 1

Fun activities all day at Marina Park (below the Lawson Field Theatre). Children’s shows in the morning, children’s workshops throughout the day and family entertainment in the afternoons. The Travelling Tuataras dazzle with stories, puppets – and plenty of audience participation. Wacky fun with the Sun Fun Company. Mad stilt walking mayhem from Jebediah Boot with juggling, unicycling and general silliness from Adrian Kirk.

Relax and sample some local talent, INCLUDING Felix, Sons of lo, Pepto, John Mackill Quintet,
Vicky Horsefall, Zylah, Nga Tuahine and Mere Boynton and friends.

Tuesday 31st Dec 10am -5pm
10am - the Travelling Tuataras and their terrific children's show
11am - Wacky fun with the Sun Fun Company. Roving clowns and stiltwalkes all morning.
12pm - Register for the Whanau Waka Ama races stating at 1pm.

Wednesday 1st Jan 11am -3pm

11am - The Amazing Adrian Kirk family show.
12pm - Gisborne Intermediate Jazz Band then the Pacific Sounds of Zylah, the jaxx artistry of the
John Mackill Quintet and vocalist Vicky Horsefall.

FREE WORKSHOPS

Stilt walking, Harekeke weaving, face painting, paua shell jewellery, creative creatures.
